É Professor Associado de Espiritualidade Bíblica no The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, e também atua como pastor na Grace Community Church em Glen Rose, Texas. Ele tem mais de vinte anos de experiência no ministério, tendo servido como missionário em Portugal.
